Changed the vidcard, and it booted, but still wouldn't connect to the domain.

It turned out that they changed the IP address to another subnet.

Spent about 20 minutes on this.

Work done. PC Working.

The PC wouldn't boot, and I immediately diagnosed it as a video card problem, judging from the beeps.

I reseated the card and it booted, but it wouldn't connect to the network. Then after reseating the NIC, the video card died. :-(

I spent 30 minutes trying to resurrect it, but the vidcard only heats up, and the system beeps the same way as if there's no vidcard. :-(

I tried using the "flooded" vidcard remitted to me by Rico, but it displays nothing. :-(

Looks like I got enough to get me really going with accessing MySQL thru VFP. :-)

Restarted learning VFP and MySQL. Gosh, I hope I do find more time for learning them nowadays, as I foresee the need to build clients just for querying, a la samboy's query.

Had to comb thru the licenses to find out which one I used on the said PC, to reinstall WinXP. There was a problem with the GIS software long ago. ;-)
